MEET HOLLY
Executives and leadership teams come to Holly when they want their organizations to be more effective and less dysfunctional. They realize employees do their best work when they have clarity on how to succeed and grow. Talent won't tolerate a company that doesn't have great teamwork. Holly’s mission is to help them master the disciplines of organizational health.
Holly specialises in the intersection of disruption and innovation for leadership from her global experience operating for almost two decades in high-stakes crisis response, humanitarian action, and civil-military coordination.
Over the course of her career, Holly has held assignments ranging from refugee reintegration in South Sudan to advising International Security Forces in Afghanistan on stabilisation and governance. During the global pandemic, she has worked with individuals, teams and healthcare organizations to think about and engage with the human cost incurred by practitioners working on the frontlines of human suffering and vulnerability.
The concepts presented in Patrick Lencioni’s books (The Five Dysfunctions of a Team, The Advantage) provide a framework for how Holly performed intuitively in some of the most dangerous locations on the planet. She brings a tactical level understanding to “There is no better way of earning a person’s trust than by putting ourselves in a place of unprotected weakness.”
Holly has a comfort with building trust across difference and assessing organizational performance in disruptive and new environments.
Holly specializes in navigating uncertainty, building trust in times of insecurity and assessing organizational performance in uncharted territory. She draws on a comprehensive understanding of human dynamics in extreme environments and complex systems to build teams and maximize leadership capability. Her clients are encouraged and empowered to think critically. They own the process and pace of implementation.

Holly Hughson brings a depth of knowledge about people and how they interact with systems from her longtime relief work. Her curiosity, along with her ability to translate ideas formulated to help a Fortune 500 into strategies that would enable our mid-size community-based organization, at a natural evolution point, to thrive, were invaluable.
